I cant say I have dumped someone for a petty reason. There has usually been some other reason. I have however used very petty reasons to get out of relationships that I could no longer be bothered with.
Reasons used for dumping
Phoned me at work
Throw out some old private eyes racing posts (which were already in my recycling pile)
Awful taste in music told her couldnt date someone who owned a Keane album

When I was a student I dumped a girl For having a massive hissy fit at me for not calling the second I finished work (I'd left my phone at home and she'd had to wait a whole ten minutes for me to walk back to my house after my shift before I called)
She was a proper nutcase mind

Cough, I am usually the dumped, not the dumper.
The two I elbowed were violent towards me, so by default that was the pettiest reason.
However, the chap I have been seeing is going to be jettisoned for a pettier reason when I get round to it.
